Objective

The objective of the Foundation is: to promote, or cause to be promoted, access to food, education and basic services, and the improvement of the living conditions of children and families in developing regions, in particular in Kenya. In practice, the Foundation focuses on promoting education, well-being and equal opportunities for children and families in the Malindi region. In doing so, the Foundation strengthens the involvement of parents and the community in the development of children and educational facilities.

The Foundation was initially established to support the Malindi Guardian Angels School in Kijiwetanga (Malindi region). The school is an independently operating local partner.

Board and remuneration

The board of the Foundation is responsible for policy, financial management and supervision of the implementation of activities. Board members receive no remuneration for their work. They are only entitled to reimbursement of expenses actually incurred, insofar as these are reasonable and within the legal framework.

The Foundation has no employees. If the board decides to appoint paid staff, their remuneration will be set in advance by the board, in line with market rates.
